Can I change my DuitNow transfer limit during an active cooling-off period?
(Note: An "active cooling-off period" occurs when a user has increased their transaction limit, triggering a cooling-off period.)
Yes, you can. However, if the new DuitNow transaction limit is higher than the existing limit, the cooling-off period will restart.
Example:
| Existing DuitNow Transaction Limit | New DuitNow Transaction Limit #1 | New DuitNow Transaction Limit #2 |
| RM1,000.00 | RM2,000.00 | RM1,500.00 |
Case Scenario:
[15 January 2025 10:00AM]
- The user increases their limit from RM1,000 to RM2,000.
- Since the transaction limit is being increased, a 12-hour cooling-off period applies. The new limit will take effect after 12 hours, starting from 10.00PM. Until then, the user can transact up to RM1,000.
[15 January 2025 11:30AM]
- The user increases their transaction limit from RM1,000 to RM1,500
- This new transaction limit change will replace the previous one, starting a new 12-hour cooling-off period. The updated limit will take effect from 11:30PM onwards.
