The cooling-off period helps prevent online banking fraud by protecting customers from scammers trying take over your account and increasing transaction limits for unauthorized high-value transfers.
It acts as a security measure, giving customers time to take action, such as calling our Customer Care hotline or using the Kill Switch on the Merchantrade Money app to temporarily block their e-Wallet before the new limits apply.
